Astrology

Astrology is an Ancient Art which has been practiced in many different cultures.  Most of the early Astrologers were also Mathematicians and many Medical Physicians also practiced Astrology, attributing ailments and disease to the make-up of the individual as indicated in the Birth Chart and to the movement of the Planets in the Heavens.  Many of the great learned men of Society including Sir Isaac Newton were also Astrologers.

So what is Astrology?

In general terms Astrology is the study of the effects of 'all' the planets in the Solar System, including the Sun and Moon, upon the behavior and circumstances of Human-beings. Each of the planets are attributed with certain 'characteristics' or 'energies' which seem to motivate individuals to behave in predictable patterns or produce predictable circumstances in the external environment.

How does Astrology compare with my daily Horoscope in the newspaper?

Daily Horoscopes are concerned only with the position of the Sun in your natal Birth Chart, ie. whether you are a Gemini or a Leo etc, whereas an Astrologer will calculate the position of 'all' the planets in the Solar System as indicated by the Birth Data supplied.

What will the Astrologer need to know?

You will need to provide your Birth Data, which includes the date, the time and place of your birth: eg. 5.6.1960, at 5.00 am. London. 

NB. It is important to try to find out what time you were born as exactly as possible since this information affects the accuracy of the reading.  If your Birth Time is unavailable, Noon will be used.

How can Astrology help me?

Whatever the problem, Astrology can help. 

By examining your original Birth Chart and your natural 'character' or 'disposition' together with the influence of major Planetary trends occurring in the present it is possible to utilize the planetary energies in a positive manner thereby avoiding pitfalls and making the most of opportunities that may present themselves.

It is also possible to compare your birth chart with that of another person to explore important relationships.  It is then possible to high-lights areas of compatibility and areas of discord which with understanding and tolerance can be managed more effectively.
