Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy is an ancient art dating back to early Egyptian times, some 4000 years BC. The Egyptians used the Essential Oils of Cedarwood and Myrrh to preserve bodies in the act of mummification,
Aromatherapy combines the use of small amounts of Essential oils which have been extracted from plants and herbs which when blended in a carrier oil such as Grapeseed oil, are used for a gentle body massage. The effect is to relax both the mind and body and relieve the sufferer from stress and anxiety.
The essential oil of Teatree has become a popular remedy for a variety of ailments as a result of its proven antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal properties. Each Essential Oil possesses its own unique aroma together with its own therapeutic properties.
An Aromatherapist will blend the oils for the massage according to the sufferer's ailments, mental & emotional state. This is known as a 'Holistic' approach to healing.
It seems that emotional problems and stress are often the fore-runners of physical 'disease'.
Most people are surprised by the deep sense of relaxation and well-being they experience
and find that this feeling stays with them for some time after the treatment.
